Wrote article on safety
Le, 4-foot-11 and 90 pounds, wrote a magazine article earlier this year about how to stay safe around the Ivy League campus.
The article, titled “Crime and Safety in New Haven,” was published in February in a magazine produced by Yale’s medical school. It compares higher instances of robbery in New Haven to cities that house other Ivy League schools and includes an interview with Yale Police Chief James Perrotti, who offers advice such as “pay attention to where you are” and “avoid portraying yourself as a potential victim.”
“In short, New Haven is a city and all cities have their perils,” Le concludes. “But with a little
What are the chances there would be two coincident occurrences of mayhem/murder in that same building?
Bloody clothes don't necessarily mean murder.
They have also not stated that the clothes they found were hers. It could have been a bloody lab coat. It could also be some sort of a sick joke. More details need to be released. Right now it's leaked speculation that it's her clothing.
I'm not sure about what you mean about TWO coincident occurrences? What coincident and occurrences of “mayhem/murder” are you referring to?
Her vanishing (if it was done violently) and the lab coat
My opinion is that your statement is way off base.
All the information so far seems to indicate that someone with valid access to the building did the deed.
If the clothes were hidden in the building, it is likely they will eventually find the body somewhere there as well.
It may also be that the building has some 'biological destruction' equipment, and the killer got rid of the body that way. The only reason the clothes would be removed would be if this involved some kind of sexual assault prior to the murder.
“Her vanishing (if it was done violently) and the lab coat”
Was it established that it was a labcoat?
I was just giving speculation.
If it was a labcoat, was the blood on it hers?
I would think that the local police would be in charge of the case, since there was no Federal crime committed.
The CT State Police are also involved, but I think they and the FBI are there in an advisory capacity. FBI were called in because it looked like a kidnapping, but I don’t believe the girl ever left that building alive.
I lost the College philosophy bee because I could not define what "is" is.
I was assuming that the ex-boyfriend had access to the building. Maybe a professor or a student in the same department. What with her awareness of the danger women by themselves face in this world, I think that for someone to get close enough to harm her, she would have had to have known them.
The fact that the body cannot be found suggests premeditation, meaning that someone had to plan this out.
However, the bloody clothes don’t make sense. If you were able to make the body disappear, why would you leave the clothes behind to become evidence?
Which is why I considered the runaway bride scenario. She was definitely smart enough to plan her own disappearance. If she had come to realize that her pending marriage was not in her best interest, she may have been desperate enough to attempt to disappear. Social pressures being what they are, she may not have felt that she could have gracefully backed out of the marriage. Desperate people are capable of desperate things.
I personally hope that she is found alive. She would seem to have so much to contribute to our world, it would be a shame if she has indeed met an untimely demise.
Why? He doesn't work there and wouldn't have a passcard.
Maybe a professor or a student in the same department.
That seems to be what the police and other posters think.
What with her awareness of the danger women by themselves face in this world, I think that for someone to get close enough to harm her, she would have had to have known them.
Again, that is what many are starting to think.
The fact that the body cannot be found suggests premeditation, meaning that someone had to plan this out.
Not necessarily.
However, the bloody clothes dont make sense. If you were able to make the body disappear, why would you leave the clothes behind to become evidence?
The same thought occurred to me.
I personally hope that she is found alive.
Well, we all do.
In third grade I could read as well as any adult. I knew all the words. In 6th grade I was in spelling bees. I was the world’s best speller. Now after studying Latin, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch.... and learning shorthand.....
I have to use Spell Check on the computer. The words are often similar but spelled slightly different. Also, the British spelling is different from the US spelling on many words like defence, etc.
She was CLOSE to getting her PHD in Pharmacology. Not an easy task. My daughter was majoring in that at UT and it was so difficult. She switched to Geo-Scientist. I don’t think anyone would run off this close to getting that PHD, wedding or no wedding.
LOL!
[and I bet you know about “how other the kids treated you” because you were “different”]
*My* problem with the computer is this stupid touch pad at the bottom of the keyboard.
My hand or shirt sleeve will touch it and then my cursor winds up some place really weird and I’m still happily typing away but nothing is happening...:)
I can turn it off but without fail, I’ll suddenly need it because the laptop crashed...:))
Republicans first strategy should be taking over the MSM. Without it we are doomed.
Have we got the money?
Willing to spend it???
