I’m struck by two things.

First, approximately 1.2 to 1.5 million people gathered in Washington D.C. today. Obama flew to Minnesota to address a crowd of 15,000.

Second, not everyone who wanted to go to D.C. was able to attend. If 1.2 million reflects 1% participation, that would put the actual number of supporters at approximately 100 million Americans. If it reflects 10% participation, the number of supporters is approximately 10 million Americans.

Think about that.

True, that. Add in the local Tea Parties and the numbers would likely be staggering. Williston, ND, a town of about 15,000 had over 1,000 show up for the 9/12 Tea Party in Harmon Park. I wonder how many showed up for similar events around the country who could not make it to DC.
