They closed streets around the west side of the Capitol because of the large number of people who were blocking streets - a normal safety measure. Seventh St across the Mall was open to traffic, as were Constitution and Pennsylvania Aves after the crowd marched by.
Okay, have they ever had to close streets before, and how many people would have to attend for them to make that decision?
