Here are some eye-raising demands from ACORN that caught my eye from that link:

At hospitals:

c. Force hospitals to concentrate on providing basic quality care instead of wasting huge sums on showcase buildings and technological gadgets.

At the health insurance companies:

a. Throw doctors and hospital administrators off the boards of directors, and replace them with a low- and moderate-income majority.

In the government:

5. Require the federal government to provide for the health care needs of recent immigrants.

Create a national health care system, along the following lines:

C. The system is controlled by democratically elected community-based committees.

E. Doctors are on set salaries.

F. Medical education is financed by the government, in exchange for which doctors are required to serve in the public health service for a period of at least ten years.

Just how many doctors do they think will agree to those term? The medical schools will be reduced to accepting anyone who applies. Top students will not want to work in public health for ten years.

If the RNC had any brains, they could easily run a commercial with these points so all Americans could see what Obama really stads for, as ACORN=Obama.

But alas, we get the same old same old.
