While the Obama administration has been denying that so-called death panels are planned as part of the public option, it is undeniable that these panels exist in the UK and have resulted in premature deaths for non-terminal patients:
Forecasting death is an inexact science, they say. Patients are being diagnosed as being close to death without regard to the fact that the diagnosis could be wrong. As a result a national wave of discontent is building up, as family and friends witness the denial of fluids and food to patients.

Obama and the democrats would make Death Panels into law.
They just don’t CALL them Death Panels in the 1000’s of pages of vaguely weasel worded legislation.
(Exempt by law of course is the personal health care of Obama and the democrats.)

As a rule, it’s not sound policy making to decide these kinds of issues based on anecdotes, but it’s the left that has mastered the technique. The left used to ‘cherry pick’ stories of mistakes and hardships to gin up emotional appeal for their feel good ideas, but now they just used wild, unsupportable conclusions like ‘people are dying for lack of health care insurance’.
Like the person int he article, I had an appendectomy and stayed for a week in an English hospital. The hospital itself, though very old-fashioned, was much nicer than the US hospitals I’ve seen — but when I had a relapse and went back, they told me that my appendix was still there — okay, then what did they take out? Still don’t know.
Forecasting death is an inexact science, It must be true Obama & Co. are killing this country.
