Baltimore, MD September 11, 2009 We have received inquiries from citizens and the media asking whether the Baltimore City States Attorneys Office would initiate a criminal investigation for acts allegedly committed at ACORN offices located in Baltimore. The only information received in reference to this alleged criminal behavior was a YouTube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent.
If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to 5 years.

And who the hell didnt see this coming? I sure as hell did.
while technically it was recorded without consent, I believe there is an exemption for undercover journalism.
Similar to the Secretary of State Project (which no one seems to know about). They succeeded here in Oregon. The uberliberal SoS is now using a new program to send private investigators to spy on people trying to gather signatures to force the Democrat tax increases from the last legislative session on to the ballot. The SoS can give ACORN a wink and nudge when they turn in reams of "Mickey Mouse" voter registration cards, and harass any citizen counter movement until it becomes nearly impossible to run.
That figures!
Sorry. I guess I must have been thinking of the Sec of State project.
Obviously I wasn't paying much attention, as I assumed this statement came from the Maryland AG, when it was actually from Baltimore's city attorney.
yes. something else that drives me nuts is a posted story with no clear location provided.
Also, I am working on getting the Acorn Baltimore/Washington D.C. videos to the largest Japanese national TV network, with subtitles, and then background information tying ACORN into President Obama. They love stories like this and millions in Japan would watch, it will certainly tarnish the image of Obama here, and they would be eager to cover it. I can see hordes of Japanese stringers in D.C. for various TV/publications going over to the ACORN DC office on North 8th street, poking around, filming in the windows. LOL. Let's unleash an internal swarm of burrowing, digging wasps. It can be done/si se puede, yareba dekimasu!

Or, we could just wrap them in barbwire, and roll them down a steep hill, into the ocean, with the rest of the sharks.
> They wont prosecute. Theyll chicken out because of the severe blowback.
While your logic should be correct I would have imagined it to be correct during the whole Lewinsky thing as well. Let’s not forget the only person prosecuted in that whole mess was Linda Tripp.
This is worse than getting Nifonged!
I don’t Maryland State Attorney will actually prosecute the two people. Instead, the State Attorney will just use the threat of prosecutation to get YouTube, Fox, and Talk Radio not to air the anti-Acorn tapes.
It's called Tyranny. I don't plan on getting used to it.
There is a psy war, intimidation flavour to it, yes, however, we can get around that and turn it back on them, too. There are ways.
Makes it obvious that we would have better government if all govt positions were selected using a phone book and a dart.
Are they freakin kidding me! What ties does this "state attorney" have to Acorn? How much efn money does this biatch have in her bank account from them?
If they succeed, and the two young JOURNALISTS are prosecuted- Would someone please explain how that would be anything other than an ACT of WAR against the American people, perpetrated by TOTALLY CORRUPT politicians, and their accomplices?
Exactly how much fraud has taken place at Acorn? How much has it cost the taxpayers? The Acorn employees in the tapes acted the way they did because of their employer i.e. Obvioulsy- they deemed nothing wrong with what they were doing.
So I ask again- you had a fictional pimp and prostitute seeking housing exc...-How many real people were signed up to the program fraudulently?
And in light of this state attorney attempting to prosecute the whistleblowers-What the hell else has gone on there?!
And I also want to know: when the hell is there going to be an investigation into Union Thugs being called in to beat up people at town hall meetings?
Where's the EFN INVESTIGATIONS?!
This was a two party conversation - both parties consenting.
First party = pimp
second party = prostitute.
Ha, put that in your pipe and smoke it, Dems.
No charge for the legal help (I usually charge $300 an hour, but charging and getting are two different things.)
BTW, I agree with the FReeper who said Let ‘em prosecute: -— it’ll make some great ads come election time.
Nah
TV channels would never run it.
For obvious reasons.
Cable doesn’t count. We already own cable with the Mighty G Beck!!!
Now that I think of it shouldn’t he run for president?
I’d certainly vote for him.
Why do all presidential candidates and their bleedin’ wives too, have to be lawyers? Doesn’t the whole nation hate lawyers??? Then why do they keep voting for Hill and Bill and O and Michelle -——
Wasn’t it Not Fit To Command John Kerry’s wife who said, at Burger King, “What’s chili ???”
What planet are these people from ???
Oh dang , Democrats. sorry for giving it all away.
Please don’t re-educate me !!!!!!!!!!
“If we cant get a real RICO investigation against ACORN, lets target and destroy their local organization.”
if they lost one (1) house in Fl, it would stop most of their mail ;-)
Wow.
Go for all the Japanese TV channels and NHK ...
I would help if there were some way to help. Got a good sub-titling company???
Great idea tho - but must do it quickly while the news is still fresh.
I too am in Tokyo.
Do you think it might inspire a few investigative efforts of their own, here? They certainly seem to need it from what I have been told.
