supposedly this has been debunked and SNOPES calls it false - HOWEVER -if you read the whole article on SNOPES, it leaves room to suspicion otherwise - they admit that the vast majority of targeted dealerships are republican owned, they claim that it's because more rich, white men own dealerships - and we know those rich, white men are republican, right?

http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/chrysler.asp

Below: list of dealerships on the block - and they weren't being axed for poor sales. Many were and have been doing very well for decades.

It seems that this was only glanced over - not thoroughly investigated.

A TOTAL list of Chrysler/GM dealerships and their party affiliations needs to be looked to see if the same ratio - (in this case 787 republican donors to ONE dem) holds true company wide...

This may be something that could be classified as an unintentional conspiracy.

Who matters most to whom, UAW or Car Dealerships.

Sure as hell doesn't make it right!

I don’t take snopes as gospel. I think they have a pretty strong liberal bias. Could just be me.

I was in the auto dealership business, ultimately as a department manager in fixed operations (I was never involved directly in selling cars, but rather in parts and service). The only part of that ratio that looks off by a little bit would be the Obama side. I think the Obama support looks overstated, perhaps by one donor.

This was debunked by Snopes.
