HER REPLY: “Why am I happy with Obama as president? The alternative terrified me in 2008, and continues to do so. And frankly, I don't think the government CAN solve the problems of the poor - and I'm a social worker who's also a yellow-dog Democrat. But I do know that - to me - it's clear that the government can continue to solve the problems of the wealthy (...another helping of AIG, perhaps?) and ignore the problems of the poor, the unemployed, and those uninsured for health problems only at our peril. I'm also tired of the absolute lack of civility evidenced by those in the right wing such as the guy heckling during the speech. Make a clear, concise case against the left’s positions, and I'm grateful and willing to listen and consider. (I certainly am not happy with everything the left is doing.) (I’ll bet her response will not be civil, since her use of the word “terrified” denotes something sinister about 2 patriots running for office. What in the world would she have to fear?)
