The media's eligibility blinders
WND ^ | 9/10/09 | Joe Farah

When a judge in California set a trial date to determine whether Barack Obama is constitutionally eligible to serve as president, only one news service in the entire country bothered to cover the story.

Do I have to tell you which one that was?

You might recall one of the excuses the media establishment has used to explain why this is a non-story.

"Every judge who has looked at this issue has thrown out the case!" they say.

In fact, the media have dutifully reported every single time a judge has thrown out a case pressing the eligibility issue.

Can you imagine how the coverage of this story would have been different if U.S. District Court Judge David Carter had followed suit and evaluated this case politically rather than by the law?

It's not blinders, Joe. They are watching. But they are part of Obama's administration, not journalists. Too frickin bad for them we are still going to steamroll their boy marxist quisling.

Exactly...we need to stop referring to them as “journalists”. They are propagandists...

Try as you have, there’s still a tremendous level of ignorance amongst the common folk. I’ve had alot of contact with locals about this topic and have even written a published article in the local paper to clarify for folks. My girlfriend -who is not politically rabid but just interested- sez I have to keep trying to inform people. She would say the same to you. We have followed this debacle since what, April ‘08? Most people have no depth on the topic and have to rely on sketchy sources. I maintain that some of the most useful publicity on this was the issues of the Globe that showed up on grocery store stands. The got around the MSM.
Keep it up. We are not alone.

Has the National Enquirer done anything on this? It should be right up their street.

Scarier is that some of the “conservatives” (Coulter, Beck, Ingraham) have sided with the MSM on the Birther issue. That is more troubling.

Unfortunately, too many on both sides of the political spectrum are enabling Obama by ignoring, and, outright bashing, those who want to know the truth about Obama’s eligibility.

It was a bad day for the pro-Obama crowd...whether they lean left or right

What I don't get is the conservative media's silence...even from Rush.

Ann Coulter infuriates me. She didn't just disagree. She **insulted**. After that, yes indeed, I am feeling “cranky” about her!

It appears that nobody has broken the news to Joe that there is still a hearing on the defense’s motion to dismiss scheduled for October 5th. Taitz isn’t out of the woods yet.

Joe knows that. Since he wrote about it in the article he linked. His point it still valid. Had it been dismissed, every leftwing SRM would have led off with it.

Yes, well we'll know in about a month, won't we?

Since they all covered the other prominent dismissals, no need to speculate.

I'd hardly count this as a prominent dismissal, if it happens. Dismissing birther suits is old news. But should the judge deny the motion to dismiss, well, you might even see the MSM mention that.
