Yesterday, Barack Obama told the nation that he was tired of dishonest debate and “scare tactics,” but how honest was Obama himself in last night’s speech? The Associated Press fact-checks Obama and finds him … wanting. For a man eager to paint his opposition as liars, Obama told a couple of whoppers himself in front of the joint session of Congress:
OBAMA: “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits either now or in the future. Period.”
THE FACTS: Though there’s no final plan yet, the White House and congressional Democrats already have shown they’re ready to skirt the no-new-deficits pledge.
House Democrats offered a bill that the Congressional Budget Office said would add $220 billion to the deficit over 10 years. But Democrats and Obama administration officials claimed the bill actually was deficit-neutral. They said they simply didn’t have to count $245 billion of it — the cost of adjusting Medicare reimbursement rates so physicians don’t face big annual pay cuts. …

With all the trillions we’re in the hole now, he figures his health-care-deficits will get lost in the statistical noise.
And if a tree falls in the forest, and the Times refuses to mention it in their coverage, is there really a deficit? Only haters will scratch at the details. And you can usually squeeze an apology out of them, and if they won’t apologize, McCain and Lindsey Graham will do it for them.

You can’t write insurance for 40 million new people at no cost, with no new taxes and no rationing of service. Zero must think we’re really, really stupid to think we can.

Obama is really in trouble when AP calls him out.
It seems as if Obama just “assumes” that we’re all a bunch of blubbering idiots. He “talks” a good line, but Oh brother—once it sinks in....’nuff said!

Even Zer0 last night said that “his” plan of $900 billion will not even kick in during the next four years! I’d love to see his year over year projections, so we can see the total disaster that will be looming in year eleven and beyond.
Once this disaster becomes law, there’s no turning back, regardless of the fiscal horror show!
I think it's "sinking in" with more and more Americans. Clinton got away with spinning. Zero is finding out if you take that to the level of constantly lying about your program it won't work over the long term.

If we could trust Obama to keep his word not to sign a bill that would add even a penny to the deficit, his pledge alone would be the best guarantee we have that nothing will pass. But after last night’s speech, how many Americans are willing to trust this serial liar? Republicans should hold him to his promise. “Gee, we’d LOVE to vote for the House bill or the Senate bill. But unfortunately, Mr. President, that would force you to veto it, and we surely don’t want to put you in that position.”

This essentially is Obama’s $245 billion bribe to get doctors to support his plan. There are similar bribes/pay-offs to unions who supported him, to pharmaceutical companies etc. Obama’s in bed with virtually all the special interests even as he rails against them. The man missed his calling. He should be doing Kabuki theater.
