A lot of things have changed in 11 years.
I'm willing to bet that there was a time way back when it was thought "land for peace" could work. By and large, it was a relative success with Egypt, as Egypt hasn't engaged in any hostile action against Israel since it was given back the Sinai Peninsula. But every other time it has been tried, specifically with Gaza and southern Lebanon, it has been a disaster.
Based on that track record, I can't blame any Israelis, including Bibi, for abandoning the idea after previously entertaining it.
That's because Jordans Monarchy and Egypt's regime since Sadat are pro-Western and anti-extremist. They were since the downfall of the socialist/fascist loon Nasser foremostly interested in restoring their territorial integrity (particularily Sinai for Egypt). Anwar Sadat was the best statesman the Arab world has produced. He pulled Egypt out of Soviet grasp into the Western camp and made finally peace with Israel.
Both Egypt's and Jordan's regimes are more worried about domestic islamists and Palestinian terrorists (don't forget Jordan's Black September).
Unlike this the Palestinians (both Fatah and islamist Hamas) and the Lebanese Hezbullah (not Lebanon itself) are intransigently hostile to Israel and for ideology itself won't compromise on that. Ever.
P.S. regarding Syria... it won’t work with them, because they are of the mold of Nasser and under influence from the mullahs in Iran. They wouldn’t stop once they get Golan. If there would be a halfway reasonable new leadership in Syria, similar to Sadat’s, it might have a chance to work. But not with the current Assad gang which has a lot of stakes in Lebanon with Hezbullah and isn’t satisfied with Golan. Their true goal is all of Lebanon.
