MORE THAN half the US population of 304 million planned to watch President Barack Obamas speech before a joint session of Congress last night, the Pew Research Center reported. The high expected viewership translated both intense interest in the healthcare debate and the confusion that has enveloped it.
If 10 million watched it, that will probably be an overstatement.

Yes.
I watched the Red Sox and the freaking O’s...and I’m in California!!!
Irish newspaper? What Obama drummed up support from other Countries to help his numbers? Wouldn’t surprise me....any deception he can do, he will...might explain the BS headlines that Obama’s support jumped by double digits...of course they wouldn;t be affected by the this governments health rationing!
LOL, that would be my second choice, but I’m a baseball fan first.
Sorry, I was out painting my mailbox.
With a flashlight.
And Wednesday is church night and that is where this right-wing Christian was.
The TOTUS is a prolific spinner/liar. His words have no credibility. Anyone who watched was either 1) a worshiping syncophant, or 2) someone who knows he’s a liar and was listening for entertainment value only.
I can proudly proclaim I’ve never watched zippy speak and I don’t plan to-unless he’s announcing his resignation. That will be the ONLY exception!
The Costco parking lot on 44th St. in North Phoenix was practically empty when Obama’s speech started. It made me wonder if people were staying home to watch the speech, or if they’d run out of money due to Obamanomics.
Just saying.
“MORE THAN half the US population of 304 million planned to watch President Barack Obamas speech before a joint session of Congress last night”
152 million expected viewers? Seriously? I doubt that many were watching tv at the time, let alone Obama.
I listened but kept my eyes open looking for peeling paint on the walls
You can’t get half of America to watch the Superbowl, the King of tv events in this country.
