EXCLUSIVE: Inquiry opened into New Black Panther case
Washington Times ^ | September 9, 2009 | Jerry Seper

The Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility has begun an inquiry into the dismissal in May of a civil complaint against the New Black Panther Party and two of its members who disrupted a Philadelphia polling place during last year's presidential elections.

The inquiry was disclosed in an Aug. 28 letter to Rep. Lamar Smith, ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee who first raised questions about the case's dismissal and asked Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr., to make available the head of the department's Voting Section for a closed-door briefing about the decision.

In the letter, Mary Patrice Brown, acting counsel, told the Texas congressman that the Office of Professional Responsibility had "initiated an inquiry into the matter" and would "contact you with the results of our inquiry once it is completed." A copy of the letter was obtained by The Washington Times.

"I am pleased that someone at the Justice Department is finally taking the dismissal of the New Black Panther Party case seriously," Mr. Smith said Wednesday. "The Justice Departments decision to drop a case against political allies who allegedly intimidated voters on Election Day 2008 reeks of political interference."

Not to mention racial bias.

Holder did it, but after the dust up on Van Jones the hunta leadership council realized that they really couldn't afford to keep alienating large groups ~ like the white folks for one ~ at 74% they remain a significant force, and they own most of the guns too.

Those poor Black Panthers are going to end up going to a hard times prison for a very long time just to shut them up.

The DOJ has always been highly politicized.

It did absolutely nothing while the Duke lacrosse case (”Scottsboro II”) was going on—in which the Black Panthers threatened a defendant with death inside a courtroom; threatened to bring “their own kind of justice”; met privately with the District Attorney; etc.

If it had been the klan or the Aryan Nations doing this, the DOJ would have been there in a minute.

But the NBPP seems to be immune to government action.

Hence, I don’t expect anything from an internal inquiry by the DOJ...

“That Justice is a blind goddess
Is a thing to which we now are wise:
Her bandage hides two festering sores
That once perhaps were eyes.”

(”Justice”, by Langston Hughes, slightly modified)

Supposedly the DOJ was stopped by a high ranking official from Zero’s immediate cohorts. A name was printed, but I don’t recall the person offhand.

The Justice Dept (headed by Eric Holder) cannot be trusted to investigate their own department!

If this open wound is allowed to fester for too long, the truth could be discovered: to wit, Obama and Holder ordered the intervention to appease their black radical friends.

If, and only if, this time bomb gets too close to Obama, and may go off, will he throw another one of his useful idiots in the highway and let them take the fall.

This is the worst case of voter intimidation ever documented, and it was on camera.

I expect their could be violence at the polls in 2010 unless something is done to reverse this tragedy that has the fingerprints of Obama and Holder all over it.
