Carly Fiorina's exploratory GOP Senate run got some love Tuesday from the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) -- that's a national party group that decides which races to toss its money to. In a state-of-the-race memo sent to GOP senators Tuesday, Sen John Cornyn praised...
"...two strong female candidates -- Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire and Carly Fiorina in California -- continue to seriously consider bids of their own, and both poll closely with their respective Democrat opponents without having formally entered their races."
But you gotta love the response from Carla's potential rival, Orange County Assemblyman Chuck DeVore:
"I welcome Senator Cornyn's endorsement of Carly Fiorina, my probable opponent for the Republican nomination to defeat Barbara Boxer in 2010. Under John Cornyn, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has racked up an impressive string of endorsements in support of non-conservative, unpopular, poorly vetted candidates across the nation. These candidacies have thus far gone on to flounder or implode."
So much for scoring any NRSC cash -- at least until the general election -- eh, Chuck D from the OC? He's not alone in the thinking the NRSC is constantly dissing conservative candidates. Check out this site, called "Not One Red Cent" which rips the NRSC for its "betrayal of the conservative grassroots!"

Dorks!, See ya at the CA primary, NRSC.
Go Chuck!
Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire looks like a keeper. Fingers crossed!
In 2008, Fiorina donated 28,500 to the NRSC, the legal maximum. She also is in for 102,000 in 2008 for all republicans, the legal maximum. She also raised over 2 million for McCain to stop Obama.
As a 5k contributor, she was the headline speaker at an event I went to.
She has a lot of goodwill from republicans.
Mr. Cornyn, this is why we do not give money to the NRSC.
And then you get mad because the NRSC does not support your guy ? What do you expect ?
Not in the primaries. NRSC should not choose sides.
