The horror here is caused by the cut and dried number of weeks and days. Who can say for sure this baby was not actually 22 weeks and 3 days--most women cannot say for certain exactly when a baby is conceived. A drs. exam would have looked at weight and vital signs and made an informed decision. But state run healthcare with concrete guidelines leaves nothing for the dr. to decide.

I have posted a couple of times about the Complete Life graph Ezekiel Emanuel and Cass Sustine want to use to ration care. All the public furor has been about old folks. Have a look at the graph and you will see babies are out of luck, too. They do not have enough invested in them, you see, to be important enough to get care if there is a teen who needs the budgeted funds.

The far left Dems are determined on this govt. system, too. If they can just get the nose of the camel under the canvas, eventually they will get the whole camel inside the tent.
