Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) late Tuesday told reporters on his first day back in the Senate that the death of Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) last month will affect him and the Senate deeply.
The 2008 GOP presidential hopeful, who attended Kennedy's funeral in Boston on his Aug. 29 birthday, "I miss him every day," McCain said.
"We had a very, very congenial and enjoyable relationship. He had a great sense of humor. Obviously there's no one else like him."

“I miss him every day,” McCain said
Well Johnny boy we wish we could say the same about you!
Maybe retirement would be a good thing!?

I miss him like I’d miss a case of genital warts.

Hey a-hole, why don't you just open a f*ing vein and join him. We don't need the likes of you stinking up the place anyway. He's talking about the death of a friend. I'm sure you'd appreciate it if we expressed similar views when your own friends have died.
Then again, if you behave like that in real life, it's probably a moot point.

How can we miss you if you won’t go away?

Instructing a decorated POW who was just your party’s presidential nominee to “open up a vein and join him” is the kind of behavior that gives this site a bad name. What is wrong with you people? McCain and Kennedy agreed about next to nothing in politics but were obviously very good friends. What’s so bad about saying you miss your recently deceased friend everyday? I have MANY liberal friends who I get into political arguments with all the time, but we can still have a beer together, enjoy one another’s company and have a good time despite all that. If any one of them died I would miss him or her everyday, too. I’m sure each of you feel the same way. Unless your lives are so rigid that you only socialize with other conservatives. I don’t. McCain knows a lot more about life and death than most of you. He faced it everyday in the Hanoi Hilton. Try and remember that when you ridicule him for honestly saying he misses his friend.

Were they secretly married or something? Not secretly, no. ;)

Hey McKennedy, I won’t miss you any more than I miss that other slime mold of a senator.
