He certainly has. He's explained the bashing of fellow conservatives as nothing more than "fierce competition." He's also expressed disappointment that he was unable to rouse and excite Americans to rescue our America (paraphrasing). I think that may have put out fire in his belly. Obviously he's upset about the lack of 100% support from fellow conservatives.
I swear I recall him expressing surprise that fellow conservatives objected to being called names. Go figure.
My radio is on virtually 24/7 and I have never heard a bad word about Savage except, of course, from Levin. So if most of his fellow conservatives are bashing him it's "inside baseball." Hannity will call Savage by his real surname especially when talking to Levin.
He's stated more than once that in the beginning he really thought that he would lead a national movement to rescue America (paraphrasing). It did not and is not going to happen -- probably.
It's time for him to knock off the "fierce competition" bs and start acting in a way that befits a man who likely has been chosen by our Creator to be the spokesman for the inalienable right of free speech. Few could do it as well and none could do it better.
.. or take a well-deserved retirement especially if health is an issue.
That's what he was trying to do with the Paul Revere Society, IIRC.
