Poorer nations must act for climate deal: Britain

Developing countries like China and India must accept curbs on their greenhouse gas emissions if the world is to agree a new climate change treaty this year, British government ministers said on Tuesday.

Foreign Secretary David Miliband said there was a real risk that talks in Denmark in December to agree a successor to the Kyoto Protocol will fail as politicians focus on the economic downturn rather than the longer-term threat of climate change.

"There is a real danger that the talks scheduled for December will not reach a positive outcome and there is an equal danger that in the run up to Copenhagen people don't wake up to the danger of failure until it's too late," he told a news conference.

Unlike the Kyoto talks when frictions between Europe and the United States provided the main conflict, in the run-up to Copenhagen, it is differences between richer countries and rapidly developing ones which could prevent a deal.

Why not just let the sun act, seems to be working fine.

Believing in AGW is akin to, well like you know, like Van Jones believing in unicorns.

The old red is the new green.

Maybe these idiots should wait for the real scientists to agree that the globe is warming and man is causing it. Only political hacks would make drastic changes based on the foolish rhetoric of Al Blowhard Gore.

The real story here is the constant struggle between the varous factions of FLAGs (Free-Trader Liberal Anti-American Globalists) over whether they can force the Globalist Whoring scam on each other.

Although I abhor Communist China in so many ways....they are making the right move here...and so is India

It seems that the Chinese and Indians have figured out that the Globalist Whoring of various FLAGs is just a way to re-re-distribute the wealth they have shipped to China/India over the past decades....and Globalist Whoring is a way to get the wealth back.

Tariffs for FLAGs...by FLAGs?

Essentially, a new Imperialism and Colonial mindset.

This time, we’re gonna environmentalize those heathens.

Would the West go to War with CRIB if they don’t agree to Western ultimatums?
