It all depends on the school and the teachers.

Would you really be sending your children to public school if you lived in say, Berkley Ca. ?

In my experience it all depends on the school administrators and the community you live in.

Personally my children go to school to learn communication,
reading, math, spelling, writing etc.

Not to become an activist against our family values.

And the parents.

absolutely not. But then I wouldn't live in Berzerkley for the same reasons I wouldn't send a child to school there.

Same here, which is one of the reasons we live where we do as opposed to where we used to live.

Same with my child.

Not to become an activist against our family values.

Once again, same here.

I so wish we didn't live in the middle of nowhere without broadband or better internet access. I would so love to record her "MOMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE (or DAAAAAAAAAAAAADDEEEEEEEEEEE,) I'm not STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID" on youtube when we hit her with something opposite what her "friends" are telling her.

Isn't it amazing that everyone of her friends in the Talented and Gifted (TaG) program all have the same attitude she does? While they may be empathetic, to a one the majority of her TaG friends have no use for the slackers, and that is what they call them.

Interestingly enough, my freckle-faced, blue-eyed, blond daughter was a minority at Governor's school this summer. That intensive 2 week course is only open to the best of the best of the TaG students and all have to compete to get into it.

Some people can, but most people can not, understand why I am so over the racial crap. I have kids in and out of my house on a regular basis and never pay a damned bit of attention to their race. In fact the majority of kids I have banned from my house are white. I don't like sneaks and thieves..........and I'm talking about 8-12 year olds, and even a 5 year old. That's horrible,,, and definitely not racist.
