Thanks for the poll and I found a great article on Delores O’Riordan of the Cranberries, who will be touring in November!
I have Medicare - so I voted NO.
I heard a Commie on CNN today say that Docs should all be on Government salary.
If they take Medicare/Medicaid patients, they already are. That is why some doctors won’t take M/M, but will file for you to get what they would pay doctors, after you have paid the full amount.

There is a huge difference between what the bill is and what Medicare “approves”. Obama wants to end private practice. There is no private enterprise in Communism. He tried to sneak it through before we found out what was going on.
It’s kind of funny how we keep hearing about all these uninsured that can’t afford it but I thought there already was insurance for them, called Medicaid and SCHIP.
You are trying to bring ‘reason’ into the debate. The left does not use ‘reason’.
Yes. Well I dont know I have not had to use it. I do not use it for sniffles. I also keep myself healthy so I do not have to go to the doctor
I am still amazed that anyone supports this. A union leader who supports the ‘gov’t option’ called into Fox yesterday - he ended his phone call with what I would call a evil laugh.
Hubby is FORCED to pay an extra $90 a month for it, even though he doesn’t WANT it on *top* of our BC/BS premium.
He’s also FORCED to “use” it as his primary insurance [which means crappy, cheap inferior procedures] versus the premium state of the art services he got *before* Medicare was rammed down his throat.
Sure...he could have refused to take it but the state said *if* he did, he would lose his BC/BS coverage and I’d have *nothing* for health insurance.
So, rather than just paying for the GOOD insurance that covered both of us, he’s paying a lot for good insurance that covers me plus that worthless crap he doesn’t want that covers him.
Medicare should face the Death Panel.
My doctor said [and he is NO BSer] that *if* he’s forced into taking a flat salary, he will see 20 patients a week and go home and ride his Harley the rest of the time.
[right now, he sees probably 20 patients a *day*]
57% yes
Or he could move his practice to Costa Rica. Lots of Docs are going out of country.
Not “good enough” for the slackers.
They want premium BC/BS “Care First” quality stuff...but don’t want to have to work for the money to pay for that privilege.

Senate Passes SCHIP Bill with Federal Tobacco Tax Increase
January 30, 2009 (of course this increase follows in a line of more increases...)
http://www.jointogether.org/news/headlines/inthenews/2009/senate-passes-schip-bill-with.html
SCHIP has cost the federal government $40 billion over its first 10 years...
In a 2007 analysis by the Congressional Budget Office, researchers determined that “for every 100 children who gain coverage as a result of SCHIP, there is a corresponding reduction in private coverage of between 25 and 50 children.” The CBO speculates this is because the state programs offer better benefits at lower cost to enrollees than the private alternatives.http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/80xx/doc8092/05-10-SCHIP.pdf
We need REAL free-market competition in healthcare...not government deception, lies and slights-of-hand.
Nope.
He promised us that no matter WHAT happens, he’ll still take care of us somehow.
He’s the ONLY doctor I’ve ever met that I’d trust hubby’s life to.
He won’t desert us...or any of his patients.
