Take a look back on how far we've come with this Minard inspired graph of Money Supply, Presidential Approval rating, Unemployment figures and historic turning points of his failing administration. Obama wanted to turn the World upside down, so its ironic if numbers follow that cue.

Judging from the speech he gave to the AFL-CIO yesterday, and this is just a guess, The One isn’t backing down on health care. He sounded just as determined as ever to get what he wants. If it wasn’t just the influence of the crowd he was with, I would say he’s going to go back to congress and have them pass that HR3200 monstrosity without public support.
Although, he may have misjudged his audience. They were a particularly noisy crowd and when he got to the health care part of his speech, the cheers died down. It might mean they were listening intently to what he was saying or it could mean that they don’t like it. It’s hard to say, but it could possibly be the latter.
I say this because when I was first married, about 24 years ago, my then husband got a teamsters union job and we didn’t get our health insurance through the employer, we got it from the union and it was excellent insurance for not a lot of money. It paid for everything without even a copay.
I don’t know how much things have changed for union health care since then, but if it’s anything close to what I had way back when, the rank and file union members probably aren’t all that interested in having it replaced with government rationing.
He’s giving yet another press conference on 9/9/09...even if he were to admit he’s a self-proclaimed communist and he wasn’t born in the USA, the media would still edit out his comments!
