Speaking of the Border, how's that fence coming along? With all these trillions sloshing around looking for a home, we should have a first rate fence from the Gulf to the Pacific by now.

Haven’t seen much fencing supplies on the stimulus spending - I read these every week - looking for the new spending.

Lots of painting funding going on last week, I’m handy with a brush - I wonder if anyone is hiring/sarc.

The firm that got most of the border building contracts is MCC/Catamount, I checked their website - they aren’t hiring.

Ports of Entry (POE) work is ICE, not Border Patrol.

BP works between POE, whereas the ICE Agents work POE.

Yes, Customs and Border Protection is a superior organization to Border Patrol in DHS and CBP has many organizations under it, and one of those organizations is Border Patrol. However, the buildings are being built to support POEs, that is, Immigration and Customs Enforcement because ICE Agents work POEs---not the Border Patrol.

So, wherever the title of the thread came from, whoever wrote it, they were misinformed because they did not differentiate between ICE and Border Patrol. Just try and tell a Border Patrol Agent he is ICE, or vice versa, and you will have a real “Army/Navy” argument on your hand. They are very different agencies under CBP, like the Army and Navy are very different services under DOD.

I see no contradiction in the post of the notification. The title of the thread is misleading.

That's all.
