“And this isn’t just important for your own life and your own future.” No we must do it for our great leader.

“. . .if you quit on school – you’re not just quitting on yourself, you’re quitting on your country.” This is coming from a particular perspective. Ayn Rand subjectivist would disagree with this philosophy. The criteria for working towards something, or whether to do this or that depends on your worldview. For Christians its what does G_d want me to do not how it helps myself.

All he does is talk about himself. His dad cry me a river its not educationally appropriate to burden children with. This is simply a speech to adults, its not age appropriate.

BOTTOM LINE: Just words.
If he really cared he would take action to implement vouchers and school choice instead of “government schools.”

Then he said this, “I’m working hard to fix up your classrooms and get you the books, equipment and computers you need to learn.” What? What to the Feds have to do with funding local school districts? I read, “As over 90 percent of funding for elementary and secondary education in the U.S. comes from state and local governments, public schools throughout the country are at risk of sharp cuts in funding. . . “ I don’t want the feds involved in local education. No thanks big brother. And if its 10 % why is Obama lying and misrepresenting that he is hard at work as if he determines the majority or the largest part of the funding?
