He’s caught between a rock and a hard place. I don’t think he’ll be able to pass anything of substance. He’s lost too much of the middle, and if he tries to appease the middle, his progressive (aka - communist) wing will bolt.
Hopefully he’ll pull (delay) the health bill, but then it’ll be crucial that we stop the cap & tax. That is a monstrosity that’s at least as bad if not worse. If we just manage to delay any major legislature into early next year when our reps start seriously thinking about the elections, then I think we’ll have stopped them for good.
Else, we have to do such a thorough housecleaning in November 2010 so as to repair the damage they did.
I beg to differ. Cap N Tax is reversable with simple legislation. Giving free health insurance to people and socializing the medical system will be for all intents and purposes impossible. Defeating Obamacare is paramount.
