I posted this on an Eric Holder thread because I will never forget this conversation between Glenn Beck & Pat Caddell (a Democratic Consultant). He was genuinely shaken by the revelations on Glenn Beck program that week.
“Does the average registered liberal or moderate Democrat know by whom and by what their party has been hijacked?”
Pat Caddell asks the same question.
PAT CADDELL, a Democratic consultant (of whom Ann Coulter says, “He is probably the world’s sanest Democrat.”), on the Glenn Beck program August 27, 2009:
Caddell: People outside at the very ends come together in totalitarianism. And by the way, there are wacko Republicans and we could name them, but I am concerned right now in my own party [Democratic], that we seem to be infiltrated by forces. And it’s all part of this we must win at all costs. The politicians-—it’s the thing with ACORN that drives me crazy. This is a criminal organization designed to stop people and steal votes.
Moderate Democrats in my party-—the Republicans don’t know how to raise this issue. The fact is, with the things that are going on...These politicians take an oath to defend the CONSTITUTION against all enemies foreign and domestic, not an oath to protect the Democratic party or the Republican party, and that’s what we are missing here. And I am saying, I am concerned that my party [Democratic] is being sabotaged. And Moderate Democrats better come and deal with what’s happening to us.
Beck: I think there’s 70% or 80% of this country, they want no part of this.
Caudell: At least 80%. They think the politicians work for themselves
Beck: On both sides of the aisle.
Caudell: Yes

Caddell: I think they are flooding the zone....Sending out so many things that nobody can cover it all. But what bothers me is a question that should be asked. I was with an administration and the President comes in [Carter], a President who had not been experienced in Washington-—and 6 months in, people were still trying to find where the bathrooms were.
Where did all these pieces of programs come from in this kind of detail? Where do you get 1000 pages or 1300 pages one after the other in such a short amount of time? Those are the questions that somebody ought to ask because it’s the dog that’s not barking.

Caddell on Eric Holder and CIA investigation:
Glenn Beck: People think Obama is using the unions. Is it possible that it is the other way around, and I just don’t mean just the unions-—these vast organizations-—that he is not necessarily the grand architect; that somebody else has sketched this out?
Caddell: I got to tell you, this question hit me today...when the Attorney General Eric Holder, who I have not been publicly very fond of ever since he decided to go in the bag on China on the treasons and trying to buy our elections during the Clinton administration; and gave Marc Rich a pardon, one of the most evil men that ever walked the face of the earth, and this covering up.
And now [Holder] decides that Black Panthers, who carry guns into precincts, should not be prosecuted!
But despite the President saying we are going to move on on interrogation policy [Holder] announces he is going to have a special prosecutor today and appoints one and [President says] “I’m going with it.”
Who is running the show here? For the first time, I have to ask myself, Is Barack Obama really in control here? Either he is disingenuous, which I wish not to believe about the President of the United States, or maybe the question is, Who is really in control here?....
The President said we were going to move on; the country said move on on the interrogation policy. Eric Holder announces he is going to have a special prosecutor today. He’s under pressure from the ACLU, fromMoveon.org-—from many of the very, very most liberal groups in my Party; I consider the most extreme groups in my Party.

Thanks! I’m so glad you captured their exchange. I really like Pat Caddell and have liked him for some years now. He’s the only honest liberal I can name. You can see his pain and disgust on his face. Like us, he very worried about Obama and his administration and also about the radical takeover of the party he once loved.
I recorded all of Glenn’s shows last week and plan to agin this week, but it’s sure nice seeing it in print. Thanks again.
