Former Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean said Sunday that the resignation of White House green jobs adviser Van Jones is a "loss for the country."
The outspoken Democrat and former presidential candidate vigorously defended Jones, who resigned in the wake of criticism over his past statements and associations -- including his past support for a group that believes the Bush administration may have been involved in the Sept. 11 attacks.
"I think he was brought down," Dean told "FOX News Sunday," saying he just spoke to Jones. "I think it's a loss for the country."

LoL it could happen, a resignation of some sort. “I have failed your country, and have therefore decided to submit my resignation along with my congressional colleagues...”

Another one under the bus

Time to "Slap the donkey".
Exactly~
Thanks. Dr. Dean. Tie your party as tight as you can to Van Jones.
We need all the help we can getting preparing for Obama’s speech to school kids and prime time address to the nation.
Not only is Beck a bad guy, but all advertisers abandoned him, his ratings fell into the toilet, and I heard he's living under the overpass with a jug of wine. He's totally ineffectual.
That's what the commies would have liked to have happened. In reality, as you know, his ratings have SOARED.
I agree. I prefer the phrase “Obama’s Green Jobs Czar is an admitted Communist” to “Obama’s former Green Jobs Czar is an admitted Communist.”
We might find ourselves arguing with someone, saying something like “Everyone knows Obama is a Socialist, and it really looks like he might be a Communist - look at his Green Jobs Czar Van Jones, who has admitted he’s a Communist.” Now they can reply “Obama is not a Communist, Obama made a mistake with Van Jones and the mistake has been corrected.”
I don’t think we should work too hard to get these scalps. These Czars really don’t have that much power.
I hope Holdren stays in, so that we can say “Is it the official Obama position that babies aren’t people? I know that the Science Czar Holdren has said that babies don’t become human beings at birth, but require “essential early socializing experiences” in the “years after birth” in order to “ultimately” become human beings.”
If you ever want to argue that Obama is bats**t crazy, Holdren’s the man with that. We shouldn’t be in a hurry to get Holdren’s scalp.

News to me too. Never recall Dean running against anyone or it even being covered. This would have occured the same time as Michael Steele’s campaign, right?
Dean is still certifiable.
Yes, this occured in Jan. I really don’t remember but, as you say, our minds were on Michael Steele I guess.
It’s funny but Olbermann was trying to mock Glenn beck for losing the advertisers due to his low ratings... Olbermann is a lying POS and his ratings are among the lowest on prime time cable, where Beck is at the top along with 3rd most listened to radio show.

..............................You nailed it!!
Good points. How was he brought down? By Glenn Beck and websites like this alone?
I heard absolutely ZERO about Van Jones in the MSM. They had decided not to cover the story. So it was not becoming a major issue for Obama. It had potential but it had not reached critical mass.
I learned 99% of what I know about Van Jones from Free Republic. The MSM didn’t deem it newsworthy.
“comical......... “
Yeah.
If you ain’t crying.
Now we all know what Dean thinks, and what he is really worth, and what kind of person he is ...
Chalk one up for WorldNetDaily (or World NUT Daily as its detractors like to call it) and Glenn Beck.
Without those two this wouldnt have happened.
"Dean pointed to Jones' credentials as a Yale Law School graduate and best-selling author.
Though Jones signed a 2004 statement calling for an investigation into possible Bush administration involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks, Dean said Jones didn't realize what he was signing at the time.
So Jones is such a loss because he's a Yale Law School graduate and best-selling author, but he signs things that he doesn't read or understand what it's about.
Yale Law School should sue Dean for damaging their reputation.
