Inquiring Minds Need to Know....
Are all of these people being paid by the people and how much? What exactly do they do everyday? Do they have a staff and offices? Where do the offices and staff perform their duties? Can they write documents ard enact policies that get carried out by the government?

Great questions.
Also, how are we defining “czar”? Will the obamaites come back and say that they are merely advisors? That every president has had, and needs advisors?

You know this is all about the fact that there's a black man in the White House and people are just out to get rid of him, no matter what he does!! How dare you ask these kinds if questions, how dare you QUESTION the Great HolyO!!!! /extreme leftie anti-American liberals off BTW, anyone catch Maxine Waters on Georgie Steph's show this morning? She actually used this argument, that people are against Obamacare simply because he's a black man in the WH. WTH?!? I cannot wait until these boneheads are voted OUT!!!! >:-(

Can they write documents ard enact policies that get carried out by the government? We had a thread Friday night that showed salaries for "everyone" in the Exec Office of the President. Only a handful of the czars were listed. Salary range was around 150-172K.
I think what is going on is that despite the czar title, some of these people are technically categorized as employees of regulatory agencies.
How much power each has no doubt varies, but it is safe to say that none of them are insignificant. Van Jones reportedly had 30 billion to dole out for "green jobs." My understanding of Sunstein's (regulatory czar) role is that he is supposed to review regulations. It is hard for me to imagine that he could implement regulations on his own. That would be too simple. The regulatory process cant tolerate simplicity, because it has evolved to the point where its primary purpose is to keep lawyers employed.
