EDITORIAL: Networks censor health care debate -- ABC and NBC take one for Team Obama
THE WASHINGTON TIMES ^ | September 6, 2009

Posted on 09/06/2009 4:49:40 AM PDT by kingattax

The major TV networks don't even let revenue get in the way of their biased coverage in favor of President Obama's agenda.

ABC and NBC in particular seem afraid of a simple 30-second advertisement. Both networks have refused to run an ad proposed for national telecast by the League of American Voters, a nonprofit group with 15,000 members. The supposedly offensive ad makes the simple claim that the proposed government-run health care program would ration medical care.

ABC won't run the ad because it says it is "partisan." NBC won't run it because that network says it questions the ad's facts. So what does the script of this horribly troublesome ad say? Here it is:

"How can Obama's plan cover 50 million new patients without any new doctors? It can't. It will hurt our seniors, end Medicare as we know it, ration coverage and care, limit life-saving medicines, impose long delays on cancer treatment and other vital surgery. It's happening in England and in Canada. Don't let it happen here. Tell Congress to protect American health care."

American traitors ABC and NBC foisted the impostor on America, and lied to protect their investment.

The only free press we have anymore is Fox and Rush. The rest of it is propaganda. At least our side looks at both sides.

They don’t want to run so called partisan ads, so they must plan to refuse all advertising for the next presidential election.

Time to sharpen our pencils:

"How can Obama's plan cover 50 million new patients without any new doctors? It can't."

This is the weakest argument against Obama care, and I wish people would stop repeating it.

If we are insisting that the uninsured DO get treated, how can we argue that covering that treatment that they already get will require more doctors?

There are lots of reasons to oppose ObamaNoCare, but this ain't one of them. ...and they do get treated, by the way, I have a relative who is one of the "fall through the cracks" people who has no insurance and because of her situation and condition, could not purchase it if her entire income went for premiums. She gets care, and good care.

they may get emergency care, but do they really get care for chronic conditions like diabetes?

also, the comeback for the Libtards saying “the uninsured already get care” —wouldnt that be, “well then why does the govt need to take it over?”

I agree with all of course bottom line, this garbage gives some of my health care to illegal aliens and maybe 0bama will even offer to coverage to Mexican nationals still in Mexico

Go to your cable box right this second.

Delete all access to ABC and NBC.

Never watch these channels ever again.
