The details of a deadly coalition air strike near the city of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan are yet vague. However, the attack has potentially deep military consequences as well as political ramifications far away - in Germany. (Excerpted)

One senior U.S. military officer who has commanded forces in Afghanistan notes the Germans "have not had to fight insurgency or even study it, so [I'm] not sure how culturally ingrained the concept of protecting civilians is to them." ...................................... SAY WHAT? They know how to fight it, they wrote the book on it, ask the Russians. Unfortunately the Germans hands are also tied because of PC.

IIRC, protecting civilians was not at the top of the Germans’ priorities last time they fought the Russians.
It’s too bad the rest of the article isn’t here, and that the link is bad. I’m curious what this is about.

IMO it would actually be good if Germany were forced to fight due to being targeted, but with Obama as president I think it is more likely they would run away because he doesn't really inspire a fighting attitude.

but this is not the fault of the german soldiers. it´s the politicians back home who give them ROE which makes it near
impossible to fight and kill the taliban without fear that you might end up in a court back home if you manage to kill one enemy.

It has been 64 years since the German military was involved in battle. That is a long time. Military traditions die slowly, but they do die. Rome is an old example, the U.K is a newer one.

Since Commander "zero" implemented new ROE in June, no engagement of the enemy if there is a chance of civilians being injured, the American and Allied death toll has reached the highest of the war. Apparently just a coincidence or the msm would be all over it./sarc
He knows that the enemy fights from behind human shields, runs to villages and houses occupied by civilians after attacks and attacks from occupied villages, often from among a sympathetic populace. He knows and doesn't care, he hates the American Armed Forces and views them as nothing but puppets of a racist, imperialist America.
