Kinda wierd. Obama has been slowly creeping up in several polls this week after his previous lows. Are people really that stupid to come back into his fold?????
Hope his big speech Wednesday doesn't win more people over to his side.

Are people really that stupid to come back into his fold????? That's ridiculous to even ponder.
People are just as intelligent as they were 11/04/2008, no less.

Probably the fact that he was on vacation took him out of the public consciousness for a week or so, and there was not as much exposure to annoy the average citizen as in weeks past. I expect another drop following the newest alphabet station infomercial on Wednesday.

Are people really that stupid to come back into his fold?????Don't get fooled by the noise level in the polling. Obama has been at -10 plus/minus 2 or so for quite awhile. Likely to stay in that range.

isn’t the adage that libs poll better in August than the remainder of the year as conservatives and Republicans are on vacation????

Obama always goes up in the polls when he is on vacation or off the televison.
He will tank again after next Wednesdays big speech. People really are sick of that guy always opening his pie hole.

No, people are just stupid enough to answer the questions the way their union tells them to answer. I don’t believe the uptick at all. They are somehow manipulating the polls.

Community Organizer jerk up 2 points?? Based on what?! He has been on vacation and for the most part has kept his lying flap trap shut the last couple of days.
That's worth a couple of positive points.
We need to get Michelle some more exposure and that is sure to bring the messiah's numbers back down.

Unfortunatly he should be back to even in a few weeks with an even more emboldened Van Jones. So much for the MSM deathwatch here at FR.

It’s just poll noise. He’s been stuck in the -8 category for quite some time now...

I don’t believe this, but could Glenn Beck’s expose this past week on Van Jones and other radicals in the Obama administration have offended the sensibilities of some in the “squishy middle” who have decided to return to Obama’s camp out of “white guilt”?

Exactly. This isn't like measuring something with a digital micrometer. There is always a significant amount of ‘noise’ in these polls. If things were looking up for Obama he wouldn't be making another address, and he wouldn't be talking about taking the public option off the table.
To: DontTreadOnMe2009
The subtle creep up is a result of his not being on TV 24/7 to remind people how stupid they were to vote for him.
This guy has a pension for opening his mouth and inserting his foot...unfortunately in a prime time speech before congress with TOTUS doing the actual thinking, he may actually improve his numbers again this week...until someone begins asking questions like, what is in this for me inasmuch as I am in the majority who like the current system?

No, no, no. It gets a little old that every time Obama hits a new low, then picks up a point or 2, we all start wringing our hands and wondering "what's gone wrong?!?!?!". Polling is an inexact "science". EVERY poll has a +/- margin of error, so it's to be expected that a poll might look a bit different than it did the day before even though nothing has changed.
What we need to focus on is the overall trend, which is bad news for Obama. Think about where he was just a few months - in clear positive territory. Then he dipped to even, then a bit negative, then picked up a point or 2 to get back to even or slight positive territory, but for every step forward he makes, he eventually drops back 2 more steps.
So take a step back and look where he's at - around -10% negative, and that's with him on vacation for the past couple of weeks, when he would normally gain some ground.
When Kennedy passed, all the libs and MSM was saying "this is going to be the turnaround for health care!". Well, was it? Did it or Obama get a big bounce in the polls? NO!
Right now, everything Obama does or touches turns into a negative for him. Now, he can't even address public school kids without there being a stink. His "czars" are now starting to be a drag on him.
Whenever he has spoken in public in the past few months, it costs him more points in the polls, and now he's going to have a big speech before Congress next week. Historically, these kind of addresses don't do squat for a President. The ONLY chance Obama has to make this speech a game-changer is if he submits his own health care bill that veers sharply to the right, starting with tort reform and allowing health insurance companies to compete across state lines. He would be "triangulating" the liberal wing of the democratic party while adopting the GOP's ideas. It would be a classic Slick Willie move, but I don't think he can swallow his pride enough to do that. Even if he did, it would rip the democratic party in 2.
Relax!
