People who take blood thinners are encouraged to eat dark leafy veggies. Helps to enhance coagulation and the effect is very fast.

Popeye is right!

Dark leafy vegetables will help nearly any wound heal quickly. Cuts, burns, scrapes, surgical sites: the lot. You can see progress from one bandage change to the next.

If they want your blood to coagulate faster why are you on a blood thinner?

***People who take blood thinners are encouraged to eat dark leafy veggies.***

Veggies have vitamin K which counteracts the blood thinners. Do not eat these veggies if you are on blood thinners!

I’ve been on blood thinners for the last 19 years due to an artificial heart valve. I have to take a “pro time” every month to make sure my blood is thin enough. If it is too thick or has a fast coagulation time I am told to not eat any of these veggies.
