WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House on Friday dismissed as pointless the furor over President Barack Obama's plan to deliver a televised back-to-school speech to the nation's students.
"I think we've reached a little bit of the silly season when the president of the United States can't tell kids in school to study hard and stay in school," presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters. "I think both political parties agree that the dropout rate is something that threatens our long-term economic success."

I’m beginning to think that these morons in the White House really and honestly believe that there is a minute percentage of ‘fringe’ nutbags who oppose them and have no idea the magnitude of fear that is running through mainstream America.
The continual insults to these people will come back to haunt them. Either their arrogance is getting the better of them or they have idiots as advisors.

Hey Gibbs, it isnt about school, its about Obama. Most people do not believe he is the President. The fact that schools are closing or refusing to air his film should tell you that; it isnt just here and there, it is nation wide.
The real story is the fact that so many find the idea of Obama giving a speech to all US school children so alarming. Whether they’re right to be alarmed isn’t the story at all. The mere fact such an attitude exists with such breadth and depth carries an important message, and does so quite strongly.
But that’s not what the speech is about Mr. Glibbs.

At least one reporter needs to call Baghdad Bob Gibbs down on his constant juvenile trash comments about the AMERICAN PUBLIC!! When We ask a question or get upset, he better jump with his Boss, NOT tell Us thats “SILLY” or We are a bunch of “REDNECKS” or “Hooligans!”
