a lovely, female, conservative guest on regarding
Van Jones. The lovely, female, conservative guest
made the comment that there are more poor “WHITE”
people in American than there are black people.
Anyone have data?
What was the guest’s name?
All you need to do is check the census.
Blacks 12% of the population.
Hispanic 13% of the population.
Asian 2%
Other 2%
So that leaves whites as around 70% of the population. There’s just more more
white people so there are more white poor. Think Appalachia and fly over
county.
What you are probably thinking of is the percentage of the total. I believe it
approaches 50% of their population. Very sad.
