Given who Americans have elected to be their leaders I think there is more than one canary in the mine. At the rate this bunch of liberal communists are destroying US we are on the horizon of not even being able to defend ourselves let alone anyone else.
America will suffer some kind of disaster, as she did when the Jews were moved out of Gaza (Katrina) if we do anything to hurt Israel. We have been joined at the hip by God to protect Israel. If Israel goes, so do we.

Before the war started over in Iraq, I spoke about how those Christians whom for the most part were left alone by Hussein (who was not a religious man) would be persecuted and killed by the islamis.
I agree, Sender. Katrina happened because the Jews were forced to leave Gaza. Can’t help but wonder what else will happen here if we don’t back Israel. I don’t see our president doing that.

Just a quick question: how many times by comparison have you prayed in the last years for a change in our policy which has led to decimination of your Christian brothers and sisters in faith in Iraq?
I pray mostly for our government and others to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I also pray for Christians all over the world who are being martyred for their faith. Iraqi Christians are included in those prayers.
You have a point there. I SUPPORT ISRAEL, FWIW.

I don’t think we as Christians are to fear anything but displeasing God.
However, folks who think the USA will go on down the road without being severely disciplined within an inch of her life for treating Israel shabbily . . . are clueless.
Quix I agree we are not subject to THE wrath of the Lord. That will come to the unbelieving world after we are taken home.
BUT
If He tarries and we are residing in a country actively opposed to the “apple of His eye”, I believe he will remove the blessings we have been enjoying. (Again, back to Gen. 12).
