Thomas More Society launches lawsuit to force Illinois to enforce parental notification law

Earlier this week, the Thomas More Society, a pro-life advocacy group filed a lawsuit with the Illinois Supreme Court to force state officials to begin enforcement of a 14 year old Parental Notification Law. In July, the Seventh District Court of Appeals dissolved a permanent injunction paving the way for the enforcement of the parental notification law only to have the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation grant a 90 day moratorium to allow abortion practitioners to "understand their obligation" under the law.

Yeah Illinois....remember what law is? Something that is proposed, voted on, and signed by the governor. Remember? Let me give you a hint. Go into most lawyer’s offices....see all those nice uniform books on the shelves? That is not wallpaper. They are laws that your state has passed. You are supposed to read them AND follow them.

Law IS NOT what Mayor Daily or any of his Coppo’s tells you.
