MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, while talking to Mike Allen and the "Morning Joe" crew about Obama's video address to kids, sounded off on conservative hosts' criticizing the president's message to work hard and stay in school.

"Get your ratings if you want, you're just screwing your political party," Scarborough said.

"MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, while talking to Mike Allen and the "Morning Joe" crew about Obama's video address to kids, sounded off on conservative hosts' criticizing the president's message to work hard and stay in school."

Gee, Joe, I thought The Messiah's message was going to be an assignment asking students to write a letter to themselves about how they can help the president do a better job. I hear they are going to write a letter to Zero instead, telling him to read the constitution and remember the oath he swore to.

Maybe you should read it too, Joe, so you can better do your job as a journalist and point out the things your messiah is doing wrong, instead of being just a cheerleader applauding the mess he's making of the country.

I cannot for the life of me understand why WMAL replaced Chris Plante -who was terrific- with this guy in the late morning slot.

"Get your ratings if you want, you're just screwing your political party,"

That's pretty much the same thing I've been saying about Scarborough for years.

...criticizing the president's message to work hard and stay in school.

If this is what Scarborough thinks Obama's intent is, then he's an idiot.

It appears that the Obama administration is opening a propaganda war on several fronts. Glenn Beck yesterday exposed a similar assay into the world of the arts by exploiting the financial hold that the National Endowment for the Arts has over artists whom they subsidize. Now we have Obama reaching into the educational establishment, which the federal government increasingly subsidizes.

Both forays are repugnant to the spirit if not to the letter of the Constitution and to the American way of keeping government out of of such matters, especially where the institutions involved are funded by the government. As with Public Television and Public Radio, liberals never see the need for a firewall.

It is also instructive to consider that the administration is doing that which either Bush administration would never have done for two reasons. To Bush father or Bush son it would have been unseemly, unthinkable, and improper. It would also have been counterproductive because both of these institutions have been so co-opted by the left that they are now virtual extensions of the Democrat party and any attempt by Bush to push propaganda the way Obama now is doing, would have ignited a firestorm of blowback.

But the Obama administration can proceed secure in the knowledge that the teachers will cover his back and spend the day filling out a propaganda effort on his behalf which he need not even explicitly ask for. Likewise, the White House, in collusion with the National Endowment for the Arts, knows that the artists, all of whom seem to have supported Obama, will dutifully produce the kind of propaganda material in furtherance of the cult of personality.

Only two months ago the administration would have got clean away with it. But the tide is turning and more more people are alert to the cult of personality which this administration contrives for Barack Obama. No president in American history has trespassed against the great cultural understanding which has regulated the relationship between the president and the people for centuries as has Barack Obama. He was able to mask this dangerous narcissism because of his race but finally the people see that the emperor has no clothes and they are not about to tolerate his attempts to socially engineer their own precious children.

Joe Scarborough should consider that this is a unique situation and has nothing to do with a ratings grab by his competitors. Joe Scarborough looks very small standing there with the stain of sour grape all over his mouth.

There is a greater lesson than merely indignation to be drawn from this. We we must win in the trenches, we must take back the institutions of America like the National Endowment for the Arts which controls our iconography, and the National Education Association which indoctrinates our children. We Conservatives have got to understand that it is the culture war that ultimately will determine the political fate of our constitutional republic.

Apparently, Joe didn't read past the headlines. But what do you expect from someone at that network.

CULT OF PERSONALITY! Perfect - I really like that phrase! It nails the "American Idol" mentality that permeates the Obama presidency.

We Conservatives have got to understand that it is the culture war that ultimately will determine the political fate of our constitutional republic.

That is basically what I have been saying. Until we get these people out of positions of influence, we, at best, are going to only be treading water. We need to take back areas of influence: academia, media, etc. and get back to a place where conveying the principles the country was found on are the norm. Some kids are never, ever exposed to these ideas. Ever. But they are exposed to these altruistic, pollyannnic ideas at every turn, at school, on the TV, in their books, in their music, by the pop icons, etc.
