The sad fact is many people are ignorant as to the fact that in many areas of law attorney fees are caped and are regulated.

Many state bars set the amounts for contingency fee maximums.

Same in federal court.

ALSO judges do have the power to review fee agreements.

I think the first step is to start forcing the closure of some of these diploma mill law schools. There are too many law students who have been sold a bill of goods as to the future job market.
