Uh, I have to ask, if she had Internet access, could she not have emailed the authorities about her plight?

I got flamed big time for asking the same question a week ago. I will bet that Jaycee had many, many opportunities to escape over the last 18 years.

She did have many opportunities to escape. It’s been brought up in several articles.

She was abducted at 11, repeatedly raped which was no doubt brutal, painful, and damaging, and gave birth at what, 13? No pain control, no medical care. What other brutalities she experienced I do not know. She must have lived in terror. I am sure she was terrified to ask for help.

Yes, I’d ask for help, and look for any escape opportunity, but I wasn’t abducted at age 11 and tortured repeatedly.

It seems to take a certain sense of self to get your act together and escape. I don’t think most children have it.

Similarly, most molested children do not tell. That’s what pervs count on.

When houses catch fire, the firemen look for little kids under the beds or in closets. It would make more sense to get out. But little kids don’t have a lot of sense.

uh, I have to ask.

Why do people bother asking questions like this?

It’s almost like they’re suggesting something untoward about the victim, but I’m never certain exactly what it is.
