As a man who knows gross, Carvilee is grossly optimistic.
Maybe the Cajun Skeletor's opinion can be explained as wishful thinking that his relativistic values will hold sway long enough for his kids to live into middle age under the liberal utopia before their liquid principles are overwhelmed by a more clearly articulated--and shamelessly violent-- evil.
