The way that the morals in this country have fallen she probably has a point. The only difference is that she gets paid for sex. If you’ve ever lived in New York, you know what I mean.

Yes, if you live in any of the large metro areas....NY, DC, LA, SF, etc you will find a large number of the women to be looking for a lottery win with a man, not love.

There we were out in Carlsbad last year just as one of those professional golf tournaments was taking place and you'll never guess who we saw walking across the parking lot near the Stater Brothers grocery store in the Pacific Coast Plaza ~

............. well, "guess" ........

Yup, that was her.

She looks kind of whorish too, but in pretty good shape otherwise. Reminds me of one of Spitzer's daughters.

I actually agree with her on one point, yet with a different conclusion.

DuPre is trying to claim that because women all over New York have loveless relationships for material gain, then her actions are no different. I kind of agree.

But she is trying to absolve herself of being a prostitute, for which I disagree.

They are all prostitutes - DuPre and the 20-somethings who move in with rich 50-year olds. Sorry, Ashley, you’re still guilty.

This from a man trying to raise two daughters in a very traditional fashion.

Reminds me of a conversation I heard in a movie once..
Me: Ashley, would you sleep with me for $10,000?
Ashley: Yes, I would.
Me: Would you sleep with me for $25?
Ashley: NO!!! Who do you think I am?
Me: We know who and what you are, now we are just haggling over the price...

Agreed. Good luck with your girls. My two are now 30 and 17 and are quite traditional. In a Sarah Palin kind of way.

She is a hooker and now is trying to blend in with the rest of the democrat party where the line is none existent.

Isn’t that the Singapore Airlines Logo tattooed beneath her navel?

It could be, there have been lots of landings down there.

I thought the tramp stamp went on the backside? Or is this just truth in advertising?

They are all guilty, Ashley and the 20-something year olds who are in a loveless relationship for material gain. Best of luck to you raising your daughters. I am trying to do the same with my daughter, but more importantly, I am trying to raise my sons so they don’t become the men that create the demand for prostitutes, whether they are paid for by the hour or paid for with material gains of other sorts such as lifestyles.

How old are your boys? I have one, aged 14. Also two daughters, ages 16 and 9.

To train you boys to respect women will take some active work on your part, and your husband’s.

First, you and your daughters need to be traditional ladies. I know you probably already are, but there needs to be some intellectual and gut-level validation of that in front of your son. Yes, I know we were taught at our liberal universities that sex distinctions were wrong but there is nothing bad about affirming in your home that it’s the mens’ duty (your son and husband) to do the sloppy, “mucking-about” work like cleaning toilets.

For years at the dinner table, we discussed why God made men and women different. Societies need some people to be nurturing, some to be protectors. OK, not to denigrate women who want to join the military, but the traditional role of protection, defense is the male.

I also taught my son duty. At a young age, it meant doing his chores and contributing. Now that he’s a teenager, and matters of sex enter into discussions, he knows that his duty includes respecting women, even if they don’t show it. You respect her by not getting too amorous inside a movie theater, even if she’ll let you take liberties. You respect her by trying to control the (normal) thoughts about what she looks like under her clothes. You respect her parents by making sure they meet you (he’s too young for that, at 14, but we discuss it) if you’re the one she is going “steady” with — even the harmless kind where the kids just walk around campus together or buy Jamba Juice after school.

Also, have your husband take him out to do guy things — riding quads, shooting ranges, painting the fence, clearing brush, cutting and splitting firewood. This takes his mind off modern toys like computer games, X-boxes, iPods, and cell phones and lets him see what being a man is all about. Your husband can also tell your son, during this quality time, about the girls he dated, the mistakes he made (not too much detail, of course), the difference between the popular girls and the ones to marry, etc. All of this will sink in for your son.

Good luck!

As a 'hooker', she is in the lowest 1 percentile on the scale of filth, corruption, and vice of the democratic party leaders.

If you’ve ever lived in New York, you know what I mean.

I think the reason there is a big focus on 'sex' (especially illicit sex), in New York (and other big cities) is that they don't have a lawn to mow.

If most of our ‘elected’ politicians weren’t such outright criminals in just about every vice imaginable, then maybe we could deal with prostitution and the market for it, in a logical and intelligent manner.

Yes it will take logic and intelligence to deal with prostitution and if I may add, deal with other vices that have caused harm to society and more importantly, harm to the traditional family. Holding our elected officials accountable is necessary, as is holding accountable each and everyone who has caused harm. Too many people get away with doing the wrong thing and we as a society have a tendency to wrongly place blame or worse yet, give them a free pass like Spitzer was given. Thanks for your comments.

One will always find women like her, perhaps not on every street corner, but it is the worlds most ancient profession. It won't be disapprearing anytime soon.
