This isn't the first time a president has addressed U.S. public school students, and it's not the first time there've been accusations of politicization, either. President George H.W. Bush gave a similar talk in 1991, PolitiFact notes. At the time, then House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt said, "The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students."

It may not be the first time a President talked to school children. It is the first time a Bolshevik impostor President has done so. Wake up!

“President George H.W. Bush gave a similar talk in 1991, PolitiFact notes.”

Remember how national test scores soared after that? Seriously, whatever Hussein says will be forgotten by recess.

Thanks for this important historical perspective! I’m going to print this out and take it with me to the school board meeting next Tuesday. My daughter’s district is already “on notice,” shall we say, that parents are paying attention and are NOT happy about propagandizing. This will help spike the guns of anyone who attempts to defend the “paid political advertising.”
