Wearing the tan jumpsuits of prisoners, the group harmonized as they crooned ''Lean on Me'' before 64 inmates, prison guards and officials and four judges.
The group sang to celebrate 17 inmates, graduates of a new therapeutic community program that authorities hope to expand to a 300-bed treatment and work-release center proposed for Bethlehem Township.

I hope it is a success.
It sounds like are making progress. Drug and alcohol issues that lead to crime stand a chance of rehabilitation. I’ve seen it happen and I’ve done business with a small business owner who was a former convict and drug addict. He did extraordinarily well. Of course, it doesn’t work out that eway for a large number but some can get themselves educated, learn responsibility and be productive citizens.
Naturally, I do not condone such a program for violent or sex offenders...
