Biden: Stimulus doing more `than we had hoped' Vice President Joe Biden will claim Thursday that the $787 billion stimulus plan "is doing more, faster, more efficiently and more effectively than we had hoped." In a speech planned to mark the 200-day mark since the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act took effect, Biden will say that $62.5 billion in tax cuts have been delivered, $1.9 billion in contracts have been awarded to small businesses, and more than 10,000 transportation projects have been approved. In many areas, he'll say that work has exceeded goals:

We know how to spend your money better than you do.... were gonna cut benefits to people who have paid into a failed government program for decades ,so we can pay for people who haven't, the same reason that it became a failed program, we're going to spent even more to making it even a bigger failure .....we're going to spend money like never before fighting global warming through higher costs and more government meddling and regulations that punished using a 60 watt light bulb....we're going to introduce a program to promote smelt growth in Southern California and stop the unamerican way of producing food to feed the American people and others by making it very expensive to buy a plumb.
