I don't recall them resorting to biting off fingers- but yes they have been out of control for a long time.

FYI to ANYONE going to a protest: You must ALWAYS BRING A VIDEO RECORDING DEVICE to any protest you attend, and cameras too.

There is no point in going if you don't record it. Not to mention, it needs to be done for your own safety (as demonstrated by this story.)

Most cell phones have cameras and recording abilities.

You can buy cheap kodak digital recorders for 49 bucks or less these days that will hold a couple hours of digital recording (with a 80 buck memory chip)
