Now, both of my friends are well educated, have good jobs,are not far left-wingers, and live decent lives. They are not slackers but producers. Yet they just cannot understand the fear of Obama, the connection with socialism, and the people who are marching against the HC bill, etc.
No matter how hard I try, they are like naive little children who do not want to hear anything bad about "Daddy." I have, over the past year, watched and listened very carefully how they rebuff me. Never with a true fact or something they researched. Always they repeat something they heard on the Today show (yes!) or...they resort to some emotional response. (i.e. poor women with too many kids needs help and health ins. And also should have right to abortion if pregnant because of rape...sob, sob, etc.)
I believe this is the typical Democrat. Not the extreme...but the ones who are at home, believing the world would be a better place, if we just "made nice," and went about our daily business without a care in the world. And, let the government help everyone who is not as fortunate so they don't have to worry about their neighbor at all.
Now don't flame me for having democrat friends.

I knew then that I could no longer have Democrats for friends. They were either evil or too stupid. ( and a few are both.)
Unfortunately, I believe you. I am reading a book by Ralph Peters (Looking for Trouble) which describes some of his travels through the disaster that was the Soviet Union and some of its republics right around 1990 and he made the unequivocal statement that the people who really kept the Soviet Union going right at the end were unreflective women who were the true believers in the Socialist myth and who wilfully spent their lives throwing everything away for Left Wing feel good promises.
well said and I know many of the same sort because of my profession. I think it is getting through little by little. The lie about the secret Phrma deal hit hard in the liberal community and the NEA propaganda mission is also bugging them so I will keep trying to wake our sleeping friends. Let’s all pray it is in time
I have Democrat relatives as well. You would be wise to send them YouTube links to Yuri Bezmenov’s excellent lectures on what Socialism and Communism entails. After watching his lecture series twice..I will never trust Democrats again.
Like Vampires, they are difficult to put down. Maybe even harder than vampires.
I can not align myself in anyway with people who are instrumental in the destruction of our country. Either willingly or unwillingly.
It’s so sad that there are still so many in that “sleeping” or “ignorant” state. And willfully doing so.
What will it take to wake these people up? Will they ever?
It’s like we’re living in the Matrix and only some of us have taken the red pill (waking up), while others continue to take the blue pill (so life can carry on as before).
I’ve never been able to keep Dem friends myself. ;~) It doesn’t take long for them to become offended by something I’ve said and bounce.

I came from a family of democrats. They are not bad people, they just don't have time to see what is really happening and they are indoctrinated to being dictated to, like sheep on a leash. That is what the Fed crooks count on.
