Many of the innovations Muslims claim were done by captured people like the Armenian Christians, Jews, etc.

Islam has inherent religious mandates which severely limit true creativity.

1001 Inventions: Muslim Heritage in Our World

When will, "1001 Inventions: Christian Heritage in Our World," come out? Never. Truth is, Christian heritage is rich with scientific and artistic advances and accomplishments. In fact, there is no comparison, which is a BAD thing to the PC crowd.

But, the purpose is not really to impart knowledge about which cultures associated with specific religious affiliations have contributed most to our world. Far from it.

Separating the fact that most of what promoters of Islam claim, advancements were almost always stolen or captured; all claims must be scientifically peer-reviewed and published. Have you noticed that these supposed “religion of peace” followers need to shove everything up Uranus (similar to U.S.S.R. historical propaganda), instead of having choices leading to the best decision.

Islam is a military and quasi-political movement that camouflages itself as a religion. However, as with Dictatorships, Fascism and Communism or other such command and control systems, a social tool is used to stealthily control the populace. Americans are deliberately misled regarding this extremist movement disguised as a religion; which should be banned on its face due to the primary tenets of hate and violation of codified laws applied to any individual/group behavior which declares and promotes violence, advocates unlawful activity among members and conducts business activities in violation of Civil, Human and Constitutional Rights.

The Koran is the low class sand rats and desert jackals “art of war.” Many have authored correct information; there is “no social redeeming value” in either Islam or Koran! Let’s look at what happens when you question the wisdom of a pedophile prophet, serving as god; Lucifer is proud!

As was pointed out in the 14th Century by Manuel II Palaiologos as saying:
“Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only bad and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached...”

Those that are offended by this quote, have suspended their disbelief and are blind to reality for a number of self serving reasons!

OK let's get serious.

The written historical record sucks. Particularly in the field of science and advances useful to civilized man.
Even today bits of useful knowledge are being discoved as bindings for lesser insignificant documents, or discovered having been abandoned for centuries.
Nothing, however, new or revolutionary that improves the lot of humanity.

Muslim cultures are particularly puzzling in this regard. The hundreds of thousands of their records that exist deal almost exclusively with oppression and exploitation of other cultures, the "borrowing" of their useful inventions and advances, followed by the dark curtain of ignorance required by the quran.

The muslim mania for records are best exemplified by the endless inventories of slaves sent to Baghdad or Damascus from conquered lands and pirated ships. Absolutely nothing that was useful in a peaceful society; no advances in agriculture, sanitation, practical constructive science or even medicine.

Fast forward to the modern age; among the most primitive societies on earth, as measured by the benefits to the greater population are the current muslim countries.

The Nobel Prizes have existed for the last 114 years. In all that time, there has not been a single muslim winner in the hard sciences or medicine while working exclusively in a muslim country.

That record speaks for itself.

What they might have done or not during their "golden age" is not worth a bucketful of spit to me today.

That might all change, however, if the Nobel committee starts awarding prizes for mass murder and mayhem...

Many? The most influential scientists in Islam that I am aware of were Muslims. Muhammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī, for example. They weren't often Arabs - al-Khwārizmī was Persion - but they were Muslim.
Islam has inherent religious mandates which severely limit true creativity.
Islam has interpreted certain precepts in the Koran, since the 13th century, in a way that stifles creativity in science and in many other areas. Whether these interpretations are "inherent", I won't argue. But the original article's claim that Islamic science was dynamic from the 7th to the 17th centuries is false - it was dynamic from the 7th to the 13th centuries, and has been static since.

You can't pretend that the dynamism wasn't there, as the original commentators on the article seemed to be doing. And you can't ignore that it wasn't intentionally stifled, long ago, as the author of the article was doing.

Either you have data none of us have seen or your premise is false. What “dynamic science advances” do you propose as being Muslim?

Please be specific, as I, and others would like to be able to revise our position if the data merits such revision.

Do try to understand that having seen many Muslim apologist tracts which remind us of both USSR claims for commies and the endless claims of innovation on the part of the Goron, we are more than justifiably skeptical.

Also, if an innovative mind occurred in a Muslim culture, as happened with one (repeat one) medical writer, that said medical writer was rejected by his fellow Muslims only reinforces our position.

Should there be any doubt of that position, it is best summarized by: “Islam, to know it is to loath it.”.

However, should the data support revision, I shall so do.

Additionally, unless it can be shown that Islam will change in core beliefs such that it is no longer antithetical to, and irreconcilable with, the Western civilizations, I suggest that America will eventually be forced by the continuation of historic Islamic cultural warfare upon the West to play “Cowboys and Muslims”.

Algebra, for one. I've already mentioned Al Khwarizmi.

Statistics, for another. al-Kindi's books on cryptanalysis were the first to make use of statistics. For that matter, they're the first books on cryptanalysis, as well. Origins Of Cryptology: The Arab Contributions

But, as I said, these were all before Islam's "Great Endarkenment". There was a time when research and inquiry was encouraged in Islam. That time ended long ago. Whether the current attitudes or the present ones are more truly reflective of the essence of Islam, I won't argue.

What I will argue is that we shouldn't ignore what was, and we shouldn't ignore what is, and most particularly we should remain aware that it is possible for a dynamic and forward-looking civilization to turn inwards and to shackle itself into darkness. Islam did it. China did it.

For that matter, we could do it.

A case can be made that we started our devolution last November 3. On the other hand, the TEA Party and 9/12 groups seem to be reversing the commies.
