He needs to run as an Independent and the Republicans should stay out of the way. There are Democrats who will vote for an Independent over a Republican (sorry).

No need to apologize. I agree completely. His being an independent would give him some cache with Massachusetts voters. He’d likely caucus with the GOP in the Senate which would be one less seat the Dems would have to break filibusters.
Republicans stay out of it? I don’t believe that for an instant. Even the republicans up there are liberals.
