Vanity: Strategy for Conservatives upset with the 2010 Census (Obama/Democrats' Power Grab):
Myself.. | Sept 2, 2009 | J,J.S. (Myself)

Freepers,

I was pondering the other day about what Conservatives can do (especially because we are worried about Obama/A.C.O.R.Ns' power grab over this very important issue- since it represents how many representatives we have in the House).

WELL I HAVE A UNIQUE STRATEGY I WOULD LIKE YOU ALL TO HEAR (and comment on if you like):

We know that the RNC/Republican members of Congress will probably sue the Obama Administration over the Census since their power grab may give an un-fair advantage to Democrats..

This is likely to fail, IMO becuase our courts are so far leftist that we are likely to lose, even at the Supreme Court..

So here's strategy number #2 that YOU can take part in: (We have all heard the illigal immigrant's idea to not take part in the Census for "migrant equality"). I have also heard several FREEPERS state that they WILL NOT take part in the US Census (everytime there is some new controversy over this, what should be a fair, Constitutional institution): Well then I got an inspiration..

WHY NOT ENCOURAGE ~every~ Conservative who lives in a "Hopelessly blue" state to ~NOT~ participate (or only minimally, number of people in household) in THE 2010 US CENSUS~! This would do two effects 1) It would deny FEDERAL FUNDING to your left-wing/leaning state government 2) IT WOULD COUNT ~Less~ PEOPLE for your 2010 Census thereby DENYING, DENYING (Left Leaning) State; therefore Democrats (most likely) Representatives..? One more final ~warning~ you cannot, or should not do this in "purple or slightly blue states" as these may become red again, and YOU NEVER KNOW IF YOU (REPUBLICANS) will controll the State Legislature in 2010). WELL..(what do you all think?)..

It’s a crime, but if you’re in a red state, you can add a member to your family.

I like the idea. I think it could work. But, are you saying in blue STATES, or DISTRICTS. Example-I live in Minnesota-obviously a deep blue state that hasn’t voted Republican in a presidential election since 1972.

But, I live in Michelle Bachmann’s district, and she is one of the very few congresspeople that I would not want to throw out. So, should I fill out my form or not?

What is the minimum we have to tell them by law?

Constitution says: Number of citizens in household (aka living there). Congress (by law) says more..(I think).

Well then for you it wouldn’t work, but in such states like MA, CT, HI, DE, VT maybe it would?

It sure appears we have a lot of Democrat postings recently. The Democrats would love nothing more than to have all conservatives avoid the census, thereby reducing the number of congressional seats in conservative areas. THINK.

Liberals already do this. We would be playing by their rules, which is wrong. We should continue to fight with one hand tied behind our backs.

Having said that, I estimate that I have 20 or 30 people in my household.

You only reduce in heavily Democratic leaning states; thereby denying them MORE Democratic Reps!
