BOSTON -- Curt Schilling, the former major league pitcher who won the allegiance of Bostonians by leading the Red Sox to the 2004 World Series, said Wednesday that he has "some interest" in running for the seat held for nearly 50 years by Democratic Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.

I’m sure they are working overtime as I type this, just trying to dig up dirt and form a smear campaign, which will start long before he ever makes an announcement.

I'll never forgive those turds who own the Red Sox for forbidding Schilling to attend some campaign stops with GWB, and then they showed up themselves supporting J f’n Kerry. I have had extreme indifference to that team ever since (nothing could top the run of 2004 anyway). Go Curt! It may be the Repubs best chance in that cesspool of MA.

Wouldn’t that be something... a former major League pitcher taking the place of the “Lior of the Senate”.

He appears to be well-seasoned.

Curt campaigned for Dubya, even though the Boston Red Sox owners were in the tank for Kerry. He also wound up campaigning heavily in the area for McCain (but don't hold that against him!)
Curt could definitely win, and is about as conservative as you could ask for in MASS.
To: Clintonfatigued
Now THIS is good news. He could actually win this race. Yeah right. This is still Massachusetts and it's still Teddy's seat.
To: FreeReign
Well may God Bless him for what he about to do. MA must either savage a sport icon which passes for religion for many of them or a Kennedy blessed candidate. I have a pretty good idea about who will be on the short end of that stick. Time to pray for Kurt to let God take him to wherever he needs to go.
