The Education Department is encouraging teachers to create lesson plans around the speech, using materials provided on the department website, that urge students to learn about Obama and other presidents.I saw nothing in the proposed lesson plans that mentioned other Presidents.

I asked the headmaster of my kids school and they weren’t aware of the speech. So they asked the administrators and it came back “it is only for public schools”.Now isn't that something? Is there a non-invite involved? Could they get a feed if they wanted to? I don't want them to but interesting if they aren't allowed to get a direct feed.

They really didn’t know about it and frankly didn’t seem interested. I dropped it since they really do focus on a plan and educating the kids.

Right blasts Obama speech to students "Right"? Is the author showing they're side? I AM SURE IT IS NOT all THE right. Why in the hell can't they report, opponents? Or concerned parents? I realize then they would be doing their jobs but I am sick to death of the media against the world via their man 0bama.

Yeah, “other presidents” was tacked on to make it LOOK innocuous.
They will use Alinsky tactics and paint all parents keeping their kids home from school as racists.

I have a relative who is a teacher in a Texas school district. The teachers are required to TURN IN A LIST OF STUDENTS WHO OPT OUT OF THE OBAMA LECTURE.
I still don’t know if the “enemies list” is being sent to the Obama Administration. Will inquire further.

I can remember being used like this by people supporting a property-tax increase back in the 5th Grade. We had a rally and made signs that we carried and sang a little song about ‘No Double Sessions’. Got my picture in the little town paper, if I remember correctly.
I just believed what ‘grown-ups’ said at the time.
I have since been cured of that, thank God.
